Employer's Pension Provision Survey 2011

The main aim of the report is to describe the extent and nature of pension provision among private sector employers in Britain in 2011. Comparisons are also made with key findings from the 2009 survey and, in some cases, the 2007 survey.

In respect of the extent of provision, the report covers the proportions of firms providing pensions and the extent of employee membership of employer pension schemes. In respect of the nature of pension provision, the report covers the types of provision, access and eligibility, and contribution rates. The report also outlines the main reasons for non-provision of pensions and examines recent and planned changes in provision. In particular, the report covers the expected impact of the forthcoming workplace pension reforms.
