Et viktig formål med rapporten er å se nærmere på hvordan pensjonsreformen har påvirket pensjonsuttak og sysselsetting.

Det er mye oppmerksomhet om utforming av nye pensjonsprodukter og om ytelsespensjonens framtid. I Pensjonsforum tar vi debatten et skritt videre og reiser spørsmålet om hva som vil kjennetegne produksjon, eller det man kan kalle leveransen, av pensjonene i fremtiden. Vil det bli gjort på en effektiv måte? Hvordan kan man få mer pensjon pr krone? Denne problemstillingen har mange sider og er koblet til konkurranseforhold, virksomhetsregulering, produktregulering og hvordan ordningene er organisert. I to kommende seminarer i Pensjonsforum vil ve reise sentrale problemstillinger i forbindelse med «produksjon av pensjon» og betydning for kostnader og kapitalforvaltning og dermed for hvor mye pensjon den enkelte vil få.

The demographic challenge of ageing populations has led and will lead European countries to reform their pension systems. For policymakers, understanding the effect that pension reforms will have on household and national saving is crucial. In particular, the effect of changes in pension wealth on private wealth is vital information for assessing the welfare effects of these reforms.

The analysis is based on a rich dataset that combines household survey data from the German Socio-Economic Panel Study (SOEP) and process-produced microdata from the German pension insurance.
